RUNNING

Running in Cuenca means enjoying sport and nature at the same time, either by doing it through the Huécar sickle with its beautiful views, the picturesqueness of its landscape or through the various paths and its impressive views from the city.

CLIMBING

Less than 2 kilometers away from the city center you can visit a wonderful place called "Recreo Peral", where you can practice climbing in the "Hoz of the Jucar".

On Saturdays, famous climbers come to practice this sport and they can often be seen climbing high rocks.

4 kilometers away, there is also another place, called "Las Grajas", used for climbing. Many times, we can see climbers wearing very colorful equipment, so that they can be seen from very far away.

It is a very hard sport because it is very demanding and a lot of preparation is needed.

In 2021, climbing will be an olympic sport for the first time, in Tokyo, where the Olympic Games will take place.

CYCLING

“Rueda libre” is formed by a group of cycling lovers’ friends. They schedule outings and participate in cycling events.

The cycling club is based in San Antón neighborhood.

Every start of the season, they do the traditional climb to the "Ciudad Encantada", enjoying a spectacular landscape on a cold day.

The club organizes routes around the attractive and natural scenery.
